Thanks for stopping by! If you think this looks like a demo page for a website template, that’s because it is. Who in their right mind leaves the demo images in a website template? No one. So you probably haven’t seen these before.
Besides, it was a fairly decent design, and I couldn’t bring myself to mess up a good thing. I did, however, change the text so it’s relevant to what we can do together.
Attract Elephants, not Chickens
You might think I just wanted you to see a cool picture of an elephant. Sure, I’m happy to share, but the real reason this is here is because it’s part of the example home page on the website template I’m using. And also because it makes a point.
Elephants supposedly never forget. And speaking of memory, there are a lot of monkeys in the jungle, and they all have a website, so let’s build something for you that stands out from the clutter, something people remember.
Now for some trivia.
About 80 million years ago, the genetic lineage of elephants split from primates. The tree shrew is considered our nearest common ancestor. It is believed that 50-60 million years ago, Moeritheriums, approximately the size of current-day pigs, were the roots from which the proboscideans evolved. (source)
A Bridge Worth Crossing
If you enjoy being terrified by the very real risk of plummeting to your death on the jagged rocks hundreds of feet below, this might be a location you’d enjoy visiting. Alternatively, if you have been struggling with constipation and have found laxatives ineffective, this just might be a destination for you.
In reality, this type of bridge is relatively safe. I would have chosen a photo of a flimsy rope bridge spanning a large expanse, but I’ll leave that to the thriller sites.
