A useful foundation in every package

Every package includes content organization, basic proofreading, grammar and spelling corrections, modest wording improvements, and formatting for the web. The allowances above cover material you supply; original writing, research, extensive rewriting, and major changes to the brief are additional services.

Routine copyediting happens as I prepare your content. Your two revision rounds are separate opportunities to review the assembled website and send a consolidated list of changes within the agreed scope. Small questions are welcome—we’ll discuss any extra work and its price before it starts.

A standard page is a regular information page such as Home, About, Services, or Contact. Ecommerce, memberships, custom systems, premium tools, and complex integrations are not included unless specifically quoted. Basic search setup supports discoverability; it does not guarantee rankings, customers, or traffic.

SOMETHING MORE SPECIALIZED?

Custom websites

Starting at $3,500

Individually scoped and quoted. Required hosting and care is additional, from $59/month.

For larger or specialized projects: ecommerce, specialized booking systems, membership functionality, and advanced integrations. We’ll work out the requirements and costs together.

02 / AFTER LAUNCH

Ongoing care.
Without the technical juggling.

All newly developed websites launch on one of these monthly plans. The $59 or $99 monthly charge is separate from development. Hosting is required initially, but you may move to another compatible WordPress host later.

Hosting & Care

$59 / month

  • Managed website hosting and SSL
  • One eligible standard domain renewal, up to $25/year
  • Daily backups, subject to verification; approximately 30-day history
  • WordPress and plugin updates
  • Security and uptime monitoring
  • Routine maintenance and support
  • Critical outage response target: 4 business hours
  • Noncritical malfunction: 1 business day
  • Routine question: 2 business days

Managed Website

$99 / month

Everything in Hosting & Care, plus:

  • 30 minutes of routine content work each billing month; no rollover
  • Priority support and minor-change assistance
  • Critical outage response target: 2 business hours
  • Noncritical malfunction: 4 business hours
  • Routine question: 1 business day
  • Routine content updates: target completion within 3 business days, depending on scope

Standard support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays. Initial-response targets are not guaranteed resolution times. Urgent after-hours help is offered when available; 24/7 human support is not guaranteed.

Included content time excludes new pages, major redesigns, and complex development. Extra work is discussed and approved separately. Read the full support terms

You are the domain registrant. While an eligible hosting plan is active and paid, one standard domain renewal is covered up to $25 per year, only when that renewal actually falls due during the paid service period. Premium charges, specialized extensions, unusual renewal costs above the allowance, and transfer fees are extra with advance approval. After hosting cancellation, you are responsible for future renewals. Initial domain registration is distinct from annual renewal. Your proposal will specify any first-year registration cost or allowance before you commit.

A website you own. A relationship you choose.

You own original deliverables created specifically for you after the development balance is paid in full. Your domain is registered in your name, your supplied material remains yours, and hosting with me does not change ownership.

Month-to-month hosting; 30 days’ written notice to cancel. Cancellation takes effect after 30 days or at the end of the current paid period, whichever is later. No cancellation penalties; paid billing periods are generally nonrefundable unless law requires otherwise.

A fully paid-for website can receive an available full-site export at no charge, normally within 10 business days—even if hosting charges remain unpaid. Optional hands-on migration is generally $150–$350; basic domain-transfer assistance is included.

Overdue hosting may be suspended from day 15 and terminated from day 45 after clear notices and an opportunity to resolve genuine billing disputes. No automatic late penalties apply. Once a separate export-retention process is established, an available complete export will be retained for 30 days after termination. Cancellation and migration details · Overdue-payment timeline

Writing for an additional page is quoted as a combined service; the standalone writing rate applies when writing or substantially rewriting a page separately. We’ll clarify what each quote covers so you do not pay twice for the same work. Small ecommerce additions depend on the store’s requirements; larger stores and advanced functionality receive a custom quote.

Paid software, stock-image licenses, subscriptions, transaction fees, applicable taxes, and other third-party charges are not automatically included. Any that apply will be identified before you agree to the work.

05 / CLEAR ANSWERS

A few good questions.
Honest, useful answers.

The details are here when you want them. Open any question below; the essential prices and required costs stay visible above.

Getting Started

What if I don’t understand websites?

You do not need to learn the technical vocabulary before we talk. Tell me what your business does, who you want to reach, and what you want visitors to do. I’ll explain the choices in plain language and help you choose a manageable starting point.

What if I don’t know what content to provide?

We’ll start with the basics: what you offer, who you help, your service area, contact details, and what makes your business different. Existing brochures, notes, or a rough draft can be useful. I’ll organize and lightly refine supplied material within your package allowance; original writing and research can be quoted separately.

How long does development take?

Timing depends on the agreed pages and features, the condition of your content, access to any existing services, and how quickly we can review decisions together. We’ll agree on a schedule for your project before work begins. A package price is not a promise of a fixed completion date.

Pricing & Payments

Is hosting included in the development price?

No. The $795, $1,495, and $2,495 prices are one-time development fees. All newly developed websites initially require Hosting & Care at $59/month or Managed Website at $99/month. Custom development starts at $3,500, with monthly care billed separately. You may later move to another compatible host under the proposed transition terms.

Are there hidden charges or other recurring costs?

Your written scope should identify the development price, required monthly plan, and any agreed extras. Premium plugins, licensed images or fonts, booking or email subscriptions, payment-processing fees, premium or additional domains, and applicable taxes may add costs. I’ll identify known charges before you commit and ask before carrying out additional paid work. Third-party providers can change their own renewal prices.

What are the payment terms? Do you offer payment plans?

Development payment milestones and due dates must be written into your proposal before work begins; a standard deposit or financing arrangement has not yet been finalized. Any staged payments need to be agreed in advance. Hosting is billed monthly on the agreed due date, separately from development.

There are no automatic hosting late-payment penalties. Reminders, possible suspension, termination, and export availability follow the disclosed timeline. See the payment and nonpayment terms

What happens if a hosting payment is overdue?

Payment is due on day 0. Friendly email reminders are sent on day 3 and day 10. After appropriate warning, service may be suspended from day 15. A termination warning follows on day 30, and hosting may be terminated from day 45.

There are no automatic late-payment penalties. Clients receive clear notices and a reasonable opportunity to resolve genuine billing disputes. The timeline is measured from the payment due date; suspension and termination are possible actions, not an undisclosed automatic penalty.

Once a separate export-retention process is established, an available complete export will be retained for 30 days after termination. A fully paid-for website remains yours; unpaid hosting charges alone do not justify withholding an otherwise available export. Read the full timeline and safeguards

Content & Revisions

Can you help write my content?

Yes. Each package includes organization, proofreading, spelling and grammar corrections, modest wording improvements, and web formatting of supplied material within its word and image allowances. Original writing, research, and substantial rewriting cost extra: typically $100–$200 per page, depending on the brief. Additional pages with original writing are typically $200–$275 per page as a combined service.

Do I need my own photographs or logo?

Useful photographs and an existing logo are welcome, but you do not need to have everything ready before we discuss the project. Photo sourcing and editing is typically $75–$175; simple logo design is typically $150–$300. Any paid image licenses are identified separately. You should have permission to use supplied materials, and selected third-party images remain subject to their licenses.

What do the content allowances cover?

Starter Presence includes preparation of up to 900 supplied words and 8 supplied images; Business Essentials includes up to 2,000 words and 15 images; Business Plus includes up to 4,000 words and 30 images. These are practical boundaries for the agreed work, not a reason to worry about every small wording change. If your material needs more work, we’ll discuss an appropriate scope and price first.

Can I request changes during development?

Yes. Two revision rounds are included within the agreed scope. A round means you review the assembled website and send a consolidated list of requested changes. Routine copyediting during content preparation is separate from those rounds. New sections, major direction changes, extra revision rounds, or substantially changed requirements may affect the price and schedule; we’ll discuss them before proceeding.

What if I need more pages or new features later?

The site can grow with your business. Additional standard pages are $125 each; pages with original writing are typically $200–$275 each. More advanced features—such as a booking system, membership area, or custom integration—need an agreed scope and quote. Additional work outside the agreed scope is $65/hour unless separately quoted.

Hosting, Maintenance & Support

Can I make changes myself?

Yes. The site uses WordPress, and regular content is built with native blocks where practical. You can edit text, images, and other routine content with appropriate access. We’ll identify which areas you can comfortably maintain and which changes may need development help. A specific training allowance has not yet been set and should be agreed in the proposal.

What maintenance is included?

Both plans include managed hosting, SSL, the eligible $25/year standard domain-renewal allowance, backup and restoration service, WordPress/plugin updates, security and uptime monitoring, and routine maintenance and support. Daily automation and recovery remain subject to verification. Backup history is approximately 30 days; off-site storage is not guaranteed until verified, and three-month archives are not included.

Managed Website adds priority support, up to 30 minutes of routine content work each billing month with no rollover, and minor-change assistance. New pages, major redesigns, and complex development are outside that allowance. Read the support and maintenance terms

What happens if something breaks?

Report the page address, what you were trying to do, and any error you saw. A critical outage means the public site is completely unavailable or essential functionality is substantially unusable. I’ll assess the issue and explain whether it falls within routine care or requires a separate quote.

Routine restoration for failures within my hosting or maintenance responsibility is included. Restoration for client-caused damage or external issues may be quoted separately. Backups do not guarantee zero data loss. Urgent issues outside business hours may be addressed when available. There is no guarantee of 24/7 human support.

What are the support response targets?

Standard support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.

Hosting & Care: critical outage initial response within 4 business hours; noncritical malfunction within 1 business day; routine question within 2 business days.

Managed Website: critical outage initial response within 2 business hours; noncritical malfunction within 4 business hours; routine question within 1 business day. Routine content updates target completion within 3 business days, depending on scope.

A critical outage means the public website is completely unavailable or essential functionality is substantially unusable. Response targets describe the initial response, not guaranteed resolution times. Only time within standard support hours counts toward business-hour targets; business-day targets exclude nonworking days. Urgent issues outside business hours may be addressed when available. There is no guarantee of 24/7 human support. Read the support definitions

How are backups and restoration handled?

Automated backups are daily, subject to verification, with approximately 30 days of backup history. Restoration is available from retained backups, subject to successful recovery. Off-site storage is not guaranteed until verified. Three-month archives are not included.

Routine restoration for failures within my hosting or maintenance responsibility is included. Restoration for client-caused damage or external issues may be quoted separately. Recovery depends on the available retained backup and successful restoration; backups do not guarantee zero data loss.

After cancellation, a final export is retained for 30 days once a separate export-retention process is established. This is distinct from the host’s rolling backup history. Review the backup policy

Is business email included?

Business email is not included in the listed plans unless your proposal specifically includes it. If you need an address at your domain, we can discuss a suitable service and its separate costs. Existing mailboxes and messages need their own migration plan; a website export does not automatically include them.

What counts toward the Managed Website update time?

Managed Website includes up to 30 minutes of routine content work per billing month. Unused minutes do not roll over. New pages, major redesigns, and complex development are excluded and require an agreed additional scope and price.

Examples of routine work include editing supplied text, replacing supplied images, and making minor adjustments. Routine content updates target completion within 3 business days, depending on scope. This is a target rather than a guaranteed completion deadline.

Ownership, Cancellation & Migration

Will I Own My Website?

Yes. After the development balance is paid in full, you own the original website deliverables created specifically for your project. You retain ownership of your supplied content and business materials. Paying for hosting or maintenance does not transfer ownership to me.

Third-party software, fonts, images, themes, and other licensed assets remain subject to their own licenses. Some subscriptions or licenses may require your own account or replacement if you move. We’ll distinguish original deliverables from licensed components rather than promising ownership of someone else’s software.

Will I own my domain name?

You are the domain registrant. While an eligible hosting plan is active and paid, one standard domain renewal is covered up to $25 per year, only when that renewal actually falls due during the paid service period. Premium charges, specialized extensions, unusual renewal costs above the allowance, and transfer fees are extra with advance approval. After hosting cancellation, you are responsible for future renewals.

Initial domain registration is distinct from annual renewal. Your proposal will specify any first-year registration cost or allowance before you commit.

Can I cancel hosting or move elsewhere?

Plans are month-to-month, with no long-term hosting commitment. Cancel with 30 days’ written notice. Cancellation takes effect 30 days after notice or at the end of the current paid billing period, whichever is later. There are no cancellation penalties. Already-paid billing periods are generally nonrefundable unless otherwise required by law.

Once development is paid in full, you may request an available portable full-site WordPress export at no charge, normally supplied within 10 business days. Unpaid hosting charges do not transfer ownership of fully paid website deliverables to me and are not grounds for refusing an otherwise available export of a fully paid-for website.

Basic domain-transfer assistance is included. Optional hands-on migration is separately quoted, generally $150–$350 for standard sites. You do not have to buy migration assistance or remain with my hosting indefinitely. External-host compatibility, software licenses, DNS propagation, and registrar restrictions may affect a move; no downtime-free guarantee or transfer of nontransferable licenses is promised. Read cancellation and migration details

What happens to my website and data when I leave?

Once a separate export-retention process is established, an available complete final website export will be retained for customer retrieval for 30 days after service termination. The rolling hosting backup history is separate from this final export. After the applicable retention period, remaining customer data is scheduled for deletion, subject to disclosed disaster-recovery cycles and legal obligations; no indefinite storage or recovery is promised.

A portable full-site WordPress export includes the available website files, media, and database needed by a compatible host; content-only XML is not a complete site backup. The destination may need to configure DNS, SSL, email, forms, backups, scheduled tasks, integrations, and licensed services. Business email and external accounts need separate migration arrangements.
